AIRFRYER RECIPES
These recipes are my own, adapted from sources on the Internet. The photos are my own.
Cauliflower Crisps
4 cups cauliflower florets OR broccoli florets
2 TBS oil of choice
Seasoning Blend:
2 TBS nutritional yeast
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp garlic powder/flakes
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp sea salt
METHOD
1. Mix together all of the seasoning blend and set aside.
2. Chop the veggies into florets and place in a bowl.
3. Coat the veggies with the oil, and toss to coat. Add the seasoning blend and coat well.
4. Place the cauliflower in the air fryer with some space between them.
5. Cook for 7 - 10 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius. Stirring after 5 minutes. The cauliflower should be tender with crispy edges - take it out when you are happy with the result. It shouldn't be too crispy or blackened.
CHEESE & TOMATO SANDWICH
2 slices of bread
Butter for under bread
Mayonnaise for top of bread
Cheese slices
Tomato slices
Salt & Pepper to taste
1 tsp Italian / Basil seasoning
Oil
*Air Fry at 190 degrees Celsius for 5 minutes after you spritzed / brushed it with some oil
CROUTONS
2 slices of bread, cut into small pieces
Tossed in 2 TBS of oil and and then seasoning: dried mixed herbs & garlic flakes to taste
180 degrees Celsius, tossed after 3 minutes and let it go for 2 minutes more.
I never buy store bought croutons anymore, this is the best! And you can customize it to your liking! Any herbs or spices you would like.
Crispy Chicken
6 - 8 chicken drumsticks (bone in) / other chicken pieces of choice
1 - 2 TBS oil - rub chicken with oil
Then mix together:
2 TBS nutritional yeast (optional)
1 tsp chili powder / flakes
1 tsp garlic salt
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
Salt & Pepper to taste
METHOD
1. Mix the spices and combine with oiled chicken.
2. Put pieces in Air Fryer for 10 minutes and cook on 200 degrees Celsius.
3. Turn, let got for another 10 minutes.
4. And done! Yes! You can really cook chicken in 20 minutes ;-)
5. Crispy outside and juicy on the inside.
Air Fryer Tomatoes
4 large tomatoes
1 TBS oil
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 TBS Balsamic vinegar
Salt & Pepper
Rosemary sprigs
METHOD
1. Cut tomatoes in half and put mixing bowl.
2. Toss in oil, seasoning, vinegar, salt and pepper and toss to coat.
3. Put in basket. Air Fry at 200 degrees C for 5 minutes and turn for another 5 minutes.
Quick Store Bought Dough Rolls
Store bought dough
Lemon & Herb seasoning (or any seasoning you like)
Garlic flakes
1 egg, beaten / olive oil
Salt & pepper
METHOD
1. Make rolls on a floured surface and brush with egg / oil.
2. Add your seasonings of choice, and salt and pepper if you like.
3. Make a few cuts on the tops of the rolls.
4. Oil the basket and add the rolls, leave some space for them to expand.
5. Air Fry at 160 for 13 minutes and turn and let go for another 3 or 4 minutes. Check for doneness and add more time if needed.
