Buffalo Wings
Where I got this recipe, I honestly can't remember! It was sometime during my student days in the 1990's whilst looking for some nice marinade for chicken wings for a braai, but ever since that day this is the one I make when I have chicken wings, and there's a braai going on!
INGREDIENTS
INGREDIENTS
- 20 chicken wings
- 3 TBS tomato paste
- 2 TBS mustard, prepared or shop bought e.g. Steers Mustard Sauce
- 5 TBS honey OR 3 TBS chutney if using Hot (otherwise use 5 normal)
- 3 TBS Worcester Sauce
- Good splash Tabasco Sauce, or lemon juice if you prefer it without a bite
- Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste
Mix together all the ingredients for the sauce, and pour over chicken wings.
Coat well, using your hands to rub the sauce onto the wings.
Marinate for at least 2 hours, covered with cling wrap in the fridge, or even overnight for better flavour.
Baste frequently with remaining sauce during the braai.
Sticky and sweet with a nice bite!
