Cheddamelt Sauce

 This sauce is lovely with hamburgers and fries! In fact it will go with anything that calls for a cheese sauce!

INGREDIENTS

2 TBS butter + butter for frying mushrooms

2 TBS flour

1 1/4 cup milk

1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

1/4 tsp cayenne pepper

salt to taste

1/4 tsp dried thyme

1 punnet mushrooms, sliced / chopped


METHOD

1. Sauté the mushrooms in butter with the thyme until done. Keep aside.

2. Make your cheese sauce and stir in the mushrooms. Taste for salt and adjust as necessary.
